We are dedicated to empowering parents to care for the needs of their families through education, employment and nutrition assistance.
Our Work
New Roots operates a 14 acre farm where we raise chickens, pigs, and cows following a holistic model. We also make all of our own feed using locally grown ingredients. Our meats are processed in our on site butcher shop and delivered all around Northern Haiti.
We employee over 30 individuals on the farm alone.
Many kids in Haiti can’t afford nice enough clothes and shoes to attend church. Our bible program is teaching youth about the Love of Jesus first hand. Together they read from the Jesus Story Book Bible and complete enriching activities that accompany each lesson.
Our programs are designed to help women and children in our community advance spiritually, academically, and emotionally. They include a mental health program, youth sports, reading club, and more!
ABOUT US
Nick and Nikki grew up in the same small town in Washington State. When they were 12 and 15 they went on a mission trip to Mexico with their church. This became a yearly tradition and the two young kids soon became good friends.
We believe that employment is empowerment. By creating sustainable, dignified jobs, we are breaking the cycle of generational poverty, preventing malnutrition, keeping families intact, and empowering parents to provide the best possible life for their children.
Haiti is a beautiful island located in the Caribbean 800 miles south of Florida. It shares the island of Hispanola with the Dominican Republic. When a lot of people think about Haiti, images of poverty and desperation come to mind.
